Site
Visitors John and Lana Ralston from the USA have
sent me a photo of their new Ford Anglia.
John says "While on holiday in Scotland
in 2007, my wife and I found a rare 123e Anglia
in pristine condition. We bought it, but an
incredible legal complication delayed shipment of
the little beauty until this November. At this
time we anticipate having it arrive at the Port
of Oakland, about 40 miles north of our home in
Palo Alto, California, on Tuesday 16 December.
There's a very good mechanic who knows the car
well only a few miles from us, and as soon as we
get the car we will have it serviced, and be
ready to roll. The photo is taken in October in
the shipper's warehouse."
I wonder if the car has arrived safely yet. |

To
answer my previous question, Site Visitors John
and Lana Ralston from the USA have sent me an
update.
John says "Yes, it arrived safely. We
found it in a cavernous warehouse in Oakland,
about 50 miles north of us. As it was balky, we
had it transported to our mechanic. After several
weeks and a lot of replaced parts, complete
clutch assembly included, we have our little
beauty running like a top. Our most ambitious
trip was to San Francisco, where we took the
attached picture" |
