Ford
Anglia - Heartbeat TV Series
Heartbeat :
The History
Heartbeat
is a Yorkshire Television program based on the
Constable books by Nicholas Rhea. (The pen name
of country policeman Peter N Walker.) The first
series was produced and aired in 1990 and
featured the stunning scenery of the North
Yorkshire moors.

|
The series is set in the 1960's, in
the fictional Yorkshire town of Aidensfield. The
first few seasons focused on the lives of London
policeman Nick Rowan (Played by Nick Berry) who
moves to the village with his doctor wife Kate
(Played by Niamh Cusack) The series' name reflects the early
focus on both medical matters (Heart) and county
policing (the Beat). Later seasons lose the
medical focus with the Heart part coming from
community issues. In the latter seasons, the
focus is more on the ensemble cast, including new
PC Mike Bradley

: The
Merchandise As the series is focused on the
sixties, and the Anglia is such on icon of the
times (and it being the Panda Car in the series)
quite a lot of the Merchandise produced bears the Anglia Panda
Car's likeness. (We will be kind and say
likeness, as some of it is a bit "iffy"
in the looks department).
This has ranged from diecast models to tea
towels.
So
far Only Lledo have produced models of the
