Site Visitor Sam Shirmer sent me some photographs of the Ford Anglia Hot Rod that his father Roland, used to race in 1978. Sam added the following information about the car:

Number:- 235
Engine:- 1560 pre X-Flow with lotus bottom end, big head and full race cam. used to start it up with standard plugs then once engine had warmed up special race plugs would be inserted ready to race.
Body:- Ford Anglia 105e with steel bubble arch modifications.
Wheels:- 6 1/2 X 7J steel wheels
