Not
so much an oddity, as Ford Anglia's are on
display in Museums around the world, but an
unusual place to display a Ford Anglia, namely
the Tourism Office in Jävre, Sweden. The
building was part of a mid 1960s
development called Nation-One. Two
years after the building opened it fell into
disuse when Sweden switched to driving on the
right in 1967, as this now left the building on
the wrong side of the road. Following
a period of disrepair, the building was
restored as part of a local scheme called
Entrance Jävre. The inside of the
building not only contains tourist information on
the surrounding area, it also features lots of
1960s furniture, domestic appliances and
collectables, including a 1961 Ford Anglia
complete with a picnic set in the boot.
