The
second Freeman production model was also 22 foot
long and so became known as the Freeman 22 Mk 2
to differentiate it from the original Freeman 22.

The
Mk 2 was to be an upgrade of the original design,
whereby the cabin was raised so that you could
walk right through. This change resulted in a
distinctive step in the side deck

The
typical factory specification for the Freeman 22
Mk2 was very similar to the Mk1:
Construction: |
Fibreglass |
Weight: |
25cwt |
Length: |
22' |
Berths: |
4 |
Draft: |
2'-0" |

15 Gallons |
Beam: |
7'-6" |
Water
Capacity: |
15 Gallons |
Headroom: |

Each boat was individually
made, with owners sometimes choosing particular
specifications for their boat, probably resulting
in no two boats being exactly the same. As with
the Mk 1, the Mk 2 could also be
ordered in narrow beam form (6-10
wide).
