Gear Selector Forks

"Anglia" (997cc engine only)

1st / 2nd and 3rd / 4th gear selector forks, manufactured from an aluminium bronze material instead of steel, are fitted in gearboxes after approximate vehicle number D22C 139460, H22C 139917

The current selector forks can be identified by their yellow bronze colour compared with a silvery white colour of the former parts. These current selector forks could help to reduce the tendency for the fork to vibrate in the synchroniser sleeve during operation.

The current 1st / 2nd gear selector fork Part No 105E-7231-C and 3rd / 4th gear selector fork Part No 113E-7230 may also be used in “Consul Classic” and “Capri” floor change (1,340cc engine only) gearboxes. Both types are directly interchangeable with one another and the current type will replace the former in service as soon as existing stocks are exhausted.
