Founded
in 1932 by Henning Cortsen, the company started
making shipmodels from lead in 1:1250th scale and
expanded their program to models of airplanes,
trams, trains and figures in later years.
From about 1947 onward Pilot started making car
models in 1:200th scale, and produced about forty
different types. The plastic models listed here
were made From the early 1950s until the early
1960s the models were made from plastic, which
made Pilot the first Danish manufacturer of
models in 1:87th scale. The production of these
1:87 models stopped in the early 1960. Pilot
continued to produce ship models for shipping
companies and ship-building yards until the death
of Henning Cortsen in 1974 after which the
company ceased to exist.
This version of the Anglia was introduced into
the Pilot range in 19**.
