In the 1980s, Phil (John Simm) moved with his parents from an inner-city slum to start a new life in Stevenage. However, on leaving school, he finds himself in a world of senseless violence, unemployment, alcoholism and drug abuse. The arrival of sexy liberated Shona fires the boys imaginations. A hard bitten urban story boasting a young and talented cast.
