E.D Abbott Ltd of Farnham,
Surrey took over the business of converting the
Ford Anglia in 1962 and gave it the grand title
of the "Ford Anglia 105E Sports Sedan".

The conversion produced by
E.D Abbott was very similar in appearance to the Friary Motors Ltd example, except for the
shape of the rear side windows. By retaining the
existing Saloons' rear side windows, they were
able to reduce the price of the conversion by
£13. The E.D Abbott Ltd conversion cost £75 0s 0d (on top of the purchase price of the saloon).
The
Ford Anglia 105E Sports Sedan is quite a
rare variant of the Anglia family.
The
total number of Ford Anglia 105E Sports Sedan's built is unknown.

I
wonder if any of the E.D Abbott Conversions
survive today. Please feel free to email me, if you have any photo's or other
